Handball: Göppingen also wins second EHF Cup group game

Defending champion Frisch Auf Göppingen also won the second game in the group stage of the EHF Cup.

Rolf Brack’s team won against the Slovenian representative RD Koper 25:20 (15:10) and now leads the table in Group C with four points.

At the start of the group stage Göppingen had won 30:27 against RK Nexe from Croatia last Saturday. The group completes Cocks Riihimäki from Finland. The two best teams from each group reach the quarter-finals.

Göppingen quickly scored four goals and was always in the lead for the entire duration of the match. The best thrower on the field was Göttingen’s left-winger Marcel Schiller with eight goals.
