NHL: 45 held shots: NHL-Goalie Greiss succeeds in Shutout

National goalkeeper Thomas Greiss has shuttled the New York Islanders in the professional ice hockey league NHL to clear the way for their away win.

The 32-year-old from Füssen held all 45 shots of the opponent at the Carolina Hurricanes 3-0 and deserved special praise.

“He was great,”said coach Doug Weight:”He had confidence, came in and did the job. The day before, Jaroslav Halak, number one of the Islanders, had held 50 shots against the New York Rangers in a 3-0 draw.
