NBA: Dennis Schröder plans to purchase the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig team

Dennis Schröder from the Atlanta Hawks plans to buy the team of Basketball Lions Braunschweig. Schröder wants to shape the club into one of the best of the German Basketball Bundesliga.

I think I’ll buy the team and then become one of the partners,”Schröder told the TV station Telekom Sport after a meeting with the club’s managers.

“We want to turn this into one of the top 5 teams in Germany. This is my dream because I come from Brunswick,”Schröder continued.

Due to the break in the NBA, the 24-year-old is currently in his home country. On Sunday he was seen as a guest of the Bundesliga match of the Braunschweigers against the Mitteldeutsche BC (71:63).

Schröder revealed that the meeting had also taken place there,”This went very well. We want to take on a great deal of work here and, of course, we also want to help financially,”said Schröder, who played for Braunschweig’s first division team from 2011 to 2013.

In addition, the international player is already an advertising partner of Eintracht Braunschweig, a second-league football club, and is now planning to help out the Löwen Braunschweig basketball team through a marketing agency.
