Olympia 2018: Lindsey Vonn sauer: Family must not watch downhill training

Lindsey Vonn doesn’t seem to get really warm with Pyeongchang. Since the Speed-Queen only finished sixth in the Super G, the preparation for the descent is also not running according to plan.

The American woman’s family travelled from the USA to watch and cheer on the 33-year-old during training sessions. Now the race track was closed by the organizer for all spectators. Vonn, who is regarded as the favourite on gold in the downhill run, gave vent to her displeasure with Twitter.

“I’m more than disappointed. My family flew 6,000 miles to see me skiing and now they can’t see my practice downhill runs. Access was blocked for all families and viewers. The Fis tried to help, but unfortunately without success. That’s very sad.”
