Olympia 2018: Team jumping big hill: Norway wins gold, Austria sheet metal

Austria’s ski-jumping quartet Stefan Kraft, Manuel Fettner, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Michael Hayböck finished the jumping competitions at the Olympic Winter Games on Monday in fourth place in the team competition on the large hill in Alpensia. This is the first time since 2002 that the ÖOC has not been awarded an Olympic medal. Gold went to the quartet from Norway ahead of Germany and Poland.

The Austrian eagles could not intervene in the battle for precious metal, as they were exactly 94 points short of third place. Daniel Andre Tande, Andreas Stjernen, Johann Andre Forfang and Robert Johansson won 22.3 points ahead of Germany and won their first Olympic team gold medal for Norway. Poland was only 3.3 points behind the Germans.
