NBA: Fergie on anthem:”Didn’t hit the right note”.

Fergie’s national anthem before the All-Star Game caused a lot of discussion and a lot of criticism. Now the singer took a position in a statement and addressed the voiced criticism.

“I always consider it an honor to sing the hymn,”said the Black Eyed Peas singer,”Last night I wanted to try something special for the NBA. I like to take risks as an artist, but this version has not hit the right note. I love this country and have done my best.”

The singer relied on a slow version of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, which didn’t go down well in the hall. TV expert Charles Barkley joked that he would now need a cigarette. On the other hand, Shaquille O’ Neal liked it.”Fergie, I love you. It was something else, it was sexy and I liked it. Leave her alone.”

The topic of conversation was also the role of Draymond Green, who was captured by the camera during the anthem with his mouth open, which caused a lot of laughter in the Staples Center.
