NFL: Bucs part from Running Back Doug Martin

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have broken up with the double Pro Bowl Running Back Doug Martin. The Bucs ended their collaboration with Martin on Tuesday after six years.

Jason Licht, General Manager of Bucs, informed Martin about the separation.

The decision had indicated that the 29-year-old had fallen short of expectations. Martin’s retirement saves the Bucs $6.75 million that he would have received in 2018.

After the separation from Martin, the Bucs for 2018 are about to sign up for a new running back. According to Times reporter Rick Stroud, this could be Peyton Barber or a big deal in the draft or the Free Agency.
