Olympia 2018:”Team D” ahead of most successful performance since reunification

After the triumph of the Nordic Combine, the German Olympic team can look forward to the most successful performance at the Winter Games since reunification.

The German athletes achieved the best result so far 16 years ago in Salt Lake City when they won twelve gold, 16 silver and eight bronze medals.

In Pyeongchang the “Team D” already has eleven times gold, seven times silver and five times bronze before the final five days of the competition.

Germany is entering the remaining decisions with some good chances. The Nordic Combineers are considered favourites in the team competition, and gold is also possible in the biathlon relay teams of women and men. In the bobsleigh decisions of women (twos) and men (fourth) the chances of further precious metal are also good.

In Pyeongchang, Germany ranks second in the country ranking behind Norway (11/10/8).
