The 19-year-old ran over 1000 m ahead of her Dutch competitor Yara van Kerkhof in a curve to the side and was disqualified. On Saturday, Seidel was eliminated in the semi-finals over 1500 m. After two crashes in two races, she had reached the quarter-finals over 500 m. She had already reached the quarter-finals.

Seidel’s team mate from Dresden, Bianca Walter, however, was handicapped in her preliminary run and entered the quarter-finals on Thursday after a jury decision. 27-year-old Seidel was eliminated after the first run.
