Olympia 2018: Kramer and Co.

The Dutch speed-skating superstar Sven Kramer and his three team-mates caused excitement at the Holland House at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

On the evening after winning the bronze medal in the team pursuit, the quartet threw an oversized honorary plate into the audience and injured two South Koreans. One of the women was taken to a hospital for an examination and the other was treated on the spot.

Kramer, Koen Verweij, Jan Blokhuijsen and Patrick Roest immediately took care of the injured and apologized. Until now, it was customary for guests to take the honour plate of the successful speed skaters and carry it over their heads through Holland House. So far there has been enough reason to celebrate: After three-quarters of the competitions, Team Oranje is in fourth place in the medal table with a total of 16 medals (6-6-4).
