Olympia 2018: Shorttrack: Dutch woman Schulting wins gold over 1000 m

Suzanne Schulting won the Netherlands’ first short-track gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

The World Cup third place, which had already won bronze in South Korea with the 3000 m relay, won over 1000 m in 1:29.778 minutes.

Silver went to the Canadian Kim Boutin, who had already won bronze in Pyeongchang over 500 m and 1000 m, and the Italian Arianna Fontana took third place. After the Olympic victory over 500 m and silver medal with the relay, it was already the third medal for them in South Korea.

Bianca Walter from Dresden had failed in the quarter-finals, while Anna Seidel (Dresden) had already been disqualified in the preliminary round.
