Handball: Melsungen opens up to Kiel

MT Melsungen missed its fourth victory in the Handball Bundesliga from the past five games. Against the two-time champion TBV Lemgo, the Hesse team did not exceed 33:33 (16:17).

Nevertheless, Melsungen caught up in the standings with 29:15 points to the shapely record champion THW Kiel. The best thrower was international player Julius Kühn with twelve goals, while Tim Hornke was particularly impressive in Lemgo with the same yield.

In the bottom of the standings, the TVB Stuttgart gained air with a 25:24 (10:11) from the owls of Ludwigshafen and extended its lead over the relegation places to four points. With now 11:33 points, the Swabians even left the TuS N-Lübbecke (10:34 points) behind them, who lost 20:25 (7:13) at HSG Wetzlar.
