Basketball: EuroLeague: Bamberg loses in Valencia too

For the crises-stricken German basketball champion Brose Bamberg, nothing more can be gained in the EuroLeague away from home.

At the Spanish title holder Valencia Basket, the Franks lost on 24. With a total of 70:86 (34:37) in the first round, they have been waiting for four months for a win in a foreign arena. The last success so far was achieved on 2. November in Belgrade.

With nine victories and 15 defeats, Bamberg now has only theoretical chances of making it to the quarter-finals. There are still six main round games outstanding.

Bamberg struggled after a very sleepy start (7:26/9. In the second minute) and was able to almost completely make up for the gap until the break. Augustine Rubit secured the only lead after the change of sides (41:39) and then Valencia moved away again. The best thrower of the guests was Dejan Musli (14 points).

By winning, the Spaniards have also achieved the 15th place in their own hall. Won a duel with a German team.
