MLB: Kepler’s team mate Byron Buxton shines against Rays

Max Kepler’s team mate Byron Buxton from the Minnesota Twins is in excellent shape early on. In a game of jumping practice against the Tampa Bay Rays (3:1 Rays) he made two spectacular appearances in one inning.

In the fifth inning at the CenturyLink Sports Complex in Fort Myers/Florida, Buxton initially took defensive action. With a spectacular jump at the Outfield wall, the Center Fielder grabbed a deep fly ball from Ray’s first baseman C. J. Cron and thus prevented a safe homerun.

Afterwards, Buxton hit the record where he hit a homerun way over the wall in the left field and scored the only twins run of the day.

The German Right Fielder Max Kepler was also in action, beating at position 7, just behind Buxton. However, this time he only took two strikeouts in as many at-bats.
