Biathlon: Dahlmeier cannot “100 percent exclude” resignation

Biathlon Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier (24) has once again avoided a clear statement about her sporting future five days after the end of the Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

Dahlmeier, who was awarded honorary citizenship in her hometown of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Friday, said that she could not rule out a career end “100 percent”, but I think that if everything fits, if I’m in good health, if the motivation is there, if the fun is there – why not make it another two, three or four years?

I’m currently in the middle of the season, I’ll continue on Tuesday and then there are three more World Cups,”she said:” I said, I don’t want to say anything about it, I don’t want to worry about it at all.

At the winter games in South Korea, Dahlmeier won gold in sprint and pursuit, as well as bronze in the individual race. She had, however, left it open whether she would continue her career. The 24-year-old had said that her decision was “completely open”, that “anything is possible”.
