MLB: Bryce Harper was removed an ingrown toe

Bryce Harper had to undergo foot surgery to remove an ingrown toenail. The Washington Nationals, however, expect their superstar to return to show jumping training soon.

Harper was removed from his team’s lineup on Wednesday because he had problems with his toe. But according to manager Dave Martinez on Thursday, the Right Fielder is expected to play again on Saturday.

“He wants to play on Friday, but we’ll see,”Martinez told reporters,”I’d rather push him back a day. After the game, we’ll see how he feels.”

Meanwhile, Martinez also announced that right-hander Stephen Strasburg will make his jumping debut this year on Saturday against the Astros.
