NBA: NBA All-Time: The best scorers, preparers, rebounders and treble shooters in history

When Dirk Nowitzki, LeBron James, Stephen Curry or other current superstars reach milestones in the history of NBA, you’ll read about the best scorers, assist givers and rebounders of history. But what are the best lists in NBA history? We give an overview.

In the list of all-time scorers in NBA history, you’ll find many of the great NBA legends, most points have been scored over career by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers). In the top 25, however, there are also several players who are still active at the moment. Dirk Nowitzki is the top scorer among the participants. He is currently ranked 6th in the eternal leaderboard and could also reach 5th place (Wilt Chamberlain).

On the way there, LeBron James could overtake him. The King is in his 15th year. NBA season and is still in 7th place, compared to Nowitzki he is catching up steadily due to his higher point average. Meanwhile, it is even considered possible that James, if he remains fit, will overtake Abdul-Jabbar in the course of his career.

these players are still active. The figures were last published on 2. Updated March 2018.

The list of the best preparers in NBA history is, of course, dominated by Point Guards. The legendary jazz guard John Stockton, who stands so far ahead of his “worst pursuer” Jason Kidd, is at the top of the list that his record might never be beaten. Stockton completed his entire 19 years of NBA career in the jersey of Utah Jazz and spent most of his time in Karl Malone with a top-class buyer of his passports.

There are currently three active players in the top 20. Chris Paul has advanced to 9th place in the 2017/18 season, but realistically he could definitely reach the top 3 in the next few years. LeBron James is the only forward in the top 20 on 11th place. Tony Parker from San Antonio Spurs finished 20th in the 2017/18 season.

The best rebounders in NBA history make it clear: It’s not even that easy to keep up with the legends of earlier days in today’s times. Wilt Chamberlain (1st place) and Bill Russell (2nd place) were so far ahead of their time that in the 50s and 60s nobody could keep them away from the rebound. Their records may last forever.

With Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, two modern-day superstars made it into the top 10. Among the active players, Dwight Howard is the most eager rebounder in 17th place (12,858 rebounds). This was followed by Dirk Nowitzki in 28th place (11,242).

The three-line line was not introduced in the NBA until the 1979/1980 season, until the long-range throw had established itself as an accepted weapon, went into the country for many more years. Accordingly, the list of the best snipers includes mainly active players or those who have recently finished their careers.

Ray Allen, who has already finished his career just like second place (Reggie Miller), is currently in first place. Apart from that, there are already six active players in the top 10. Dirk Nowitzki is also in 12th place.

However, Stephen Curry is the most conspicuous of the top three shooters. The Golden State Warriors superstar is only in his ninth NBA season, but has already achieved the seventh-most threesome in history. At this rate, it will only take a few more years until he will suppress all the others, including Allen.
