NFL: Transition Day – Kyle Fuller protected by the Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears protected themselves from a simple departure from Kyle Fuller. The talented Cornerback was held by the franchise from Illinois through the Transition Day.

The Transition Day has the meaning for the Bears that the franchise can be equal to any offer the cornerback receives. Chicago has seven days after receiving the offer to do so.

Through the day Fuller will earn $12.971 million in the coming season, 2 million less than if he had been endowed with the franchise day.

With the Bears in Prince Amukamara already another Cornerback will enter the free market. Defenceless, they didn’t want to lose a second. Chicago will enter the new season with more than $60 million in Cap Space available to the Free Agency and under the new head coach Matt Nagy.
