Basketball: Bayreuth beats Besiktas, Ludwigsburg furios

Medi Bayreuth has won the first leg of the Basketball Champions League by 81:76 against Besiktas. Meanwhile, the MHP giants Ludwigsburg won the German duel at EWE Baskets Oldenburg with 88:63.

Best Bayreuth thrower was Gabe York with 20 points. De’ Mon Brooks and Assem Marei also delivered a strong performance with 15 points each.

Meanwhile, Oldenburg had no chance against Ludwigsburg. Ludwigsburg’s Justin Sears was the top scorer with 21 points. On the Oldenburg side, Rickey Paulding (15) proved to be the most accurate.

Bayreuth will be playing in Istanbul for the return leg next Tuesday (18.00 LIVE on DAZN). On the same day Ludwigsburg welcomes the troupe from Oldenburg (20 am LIVE on DAZN).
