NBA: After Benching of Lopez and Holiday – League warned Bulls

According to media reports, the Chicago Bulls have received a warning from the League. According to this statement, the NBA is said to have been angry that the Bulls let healthy players like Robin Lopez and Justin Holiday pause several times.

That’s what Shams Charania from Yahoo Sports says. Robin Lopez last played on 14. February, Holiday on 26. February. Lopez, who will become a Free Agent at the end of the season, was supposed to be traded on the deadline, but Chicago did not find a buyer for the center. Lopez and Holiday were last removed from rotation to give younger players a chance for the rest of the season.

However, Commissioner Adam Silver recently made it clear that he is not a fan of Tanking at all. Mavs-owner Mark Cuban, who was ordered to pay a fine of $600,000 when he claimed that refuelling was the best option for his team. Since then, the NBA has sent out a memo that threatens to have consequences in the event of deliberate loss.

“If we have evidence that players or coaches deliberately lose or are unwilling to compete, this will be severely punished by the league,”Silver threatened recently:”We communicated with the league after the All-Star Break,”said Vice President John Paxson on ESPN.”After good talks, the league has said that the situation falls within the league’s resting policy. We will now make adjustments” It is likely that both Lopez and Holiday will be used again in the next few games.

The Bulls currently stand at a balance of 21-42, which would mean eighth place in the Draft Lottery. On Thursday night, Chicago hosts the Memphis Grizzlies.
