NBA: Kawhi Leonard breaks his silence and wants to end his career with the Spurs

Kawhi Leonard broke his silence and commented on his injury break and a possible comeback. Contrary to other reports, the Small Forward plans to return to the court this season. The superstar also stated that he wants to end his career with the San Antonio Spurs.

According to Tom Osborn of San Antonio Express News and Michael C. Wright from ESPN plans to play Leonard again this season, despite numerous setbacks in the healing process of his complicated quadriceps injury.

“Soon”, he will return to the court, Leonard said:”There is no fixed date. I have to keep working hard. He is in regular contact with the team about when he can intervene again.

Recently, coach Gregg Popovich had hinted at his star’s season outing:”I’d be surprised if he came back this season,”he told ESPN.

The extent of Leonard’s injury had repeatedly been misjudged. As a result, he was only on the court nine times this season. Since the 13th. He is out of commission again on 1 January.

Nevertheless, the 26-year-old denied that there were cracks between him and the franchise because of the matter. Instead, he reaffirmed his plans to end his career for the Spurs:”Yes, in any case,”he told Osborn when asked about it.
