DEL: Nuremberg Ice Tigers extend Ice Tigers with Keeper Treutle

The Nuremberg Ice Tigers from the DEL have extended the contract with their goalkeeper Niklas Treutle for three years until 2021. This was announced by the Franks on Thursday. According to statistics, the 26-year-old is DEL’s best goalkeeper. In the play-offs (from 14. March) Treutle will face Cologne’s sharks in the quarter-finals with the Ice Tigers.

In the previous main round, Treutle had the best scores in both categories with a 94.4 percent catch rate and a 1.89 conceding goal average.

“Niklas has become one of the DEL’s top goalkeepers. He is always working hard to improve both on and off the ice,”said Ice-Tigers Sports Director Martin Jiranek.
