Handball: All information about selling tickets for the World Handball Championship

Under the slogan “Stand out” takes place from 10. until 27. In January 2019 the Handball World Championship will be held in Germany and Denmark. SPOX gives you all the information you need to experience the World Cup live in the stadium.

In Germany, games take place in Hamburg, Cologne, Munich and Berlin. The German national team will compete in the preliminary round in Berlin and move to Cologne when they qualify. In Munich, preliminary round matches are played without German participation, while Hamburg is scheduled for the semi-finals.

“The Presidium of the German Handball Federation unanimously chose Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Hamburg, and thus the four largest German cities,”said Andreas Michelmann, President of the DHB.

The sale of the tickets is divided into three phases: Since December, so-called Venue Tickets have been sold. By purchasing these tickets, fans can see all the games of a location.

The second sales phase began on 1 January. March. Now fans can also purchase tickets for individual match days.

After the draw for the preliminary round groups at the end of June, the third phase will take place. Whether we will then sell tickets for individual games in a fourth phase depends on whether the halls are already sold out,”said Mark Schober, Chairman of the German Handball Association’s Board of Management.

The tickets are available on the official World Cup website www.handball19.com The prices vary depending on the game and match day, the cheapest offer is the second preliminary round matchday in Berlin for 15 Euro.

“Of course, there are special discounts and promotions for all ticket categories,”said Schober. These include discounted tickets for children, students, classes and disabled people, but also the family ticket and the “Team Ticket” – anyone who orders eight tickets in a category receives two free tickets of the same category.”

The field of participants for the World Cup is not yet complete. Eleven of the 24 nations have qualified so far.
