NBA: Media: The Lakers engage Derrick Williams

The Los Angeles Lakers have apparently become active on the market once again and have signed Forward Derrick Williams for ten days.

This is reported by Insider Shams Charania of The Vertical and refers to sources within the franchise. Derrick Williams is an old acquaintance of the NBA: The 2011 No. 2 pick played for the Association from 2011 to 2017, most recently for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the 2016/17 season he had played 6.2 points and 2.3 rebounds for LeBron James’s team before moving to China to join the Tianjin Gold Lions. The 26-year-old scored 20 points and 6.6 rebounds in 15 games.

Williams will initially receive a ten-day contract in Tinseltown. This could be the reaction to the current violation of Small Forward Brandon Ingram.
