Ski Alpin: Mikaela Shiffrin secures the overall World Cup once again

Mikaela Shiffrin has been announced as overall World Cup winner. The US-American finished third on Friday in the giant slalom in Ofterschwang behind the Norwegian premiere winner Ragnhild Mowinckel and the German Viktoria Rebensburg. Fourth place went to the Tyrolean Ricarda Haaser, who achieved the best result of her career.

The decision about the giant slalom ball was postponed, Rebensburg is ahead of the French Tessa Worley before the final race in Aare 92 meters. Shiffrin has a cushion of 603 points on the Swiss Wendy Holdener in the overall ranking five races before the end of the race, which means that she cannot be caught up in terms of calculation.
