NFL: Patriots bring Defensive Tackle Shelton from the Browns

The Cleveland Browns continue to rebuild their roster shortly before the Free Agency begins. After the many trades of the last few days, the Browns have now handed over defensive tackle Danny Shelton to the New England Patriots.

This is reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapaport. In return, the Browns will receive a third round pick from the coming year, and a five-round pick from this year’s draft will go to New England.

All trades can only be made officially on Wednesday at 10 p. m. German time, then the new League Year officially begins.

Shelton could not confirm his good performances from the 2016 season in the past season, there were rumours about his departure from Cleveland even before the Trade Deadline. In three years with the Browns, he has 1.5 sacks and 71 tackles in 46 games. With the departure of Shelton, the Browns of seven first-round picks from 2012 to 2015 will no longer have a single player under contract.
