Derrick Rose is about to make his debut for the Minnesota Timberwolves and his comeback after about a month of NBA abstinence. The 29-year-old wants to prove to his critics that he can continue to play at a high level.
“I’m 29 and they’re pretending to be 39. I can still play the construction, they act as if I was sitting in a wheelchair,”Rose told ESPN,”From the outside it seems as if I was limping, as if I were walking around with ice bags all day and so on. Man, the opposite is true!”
“You can see me as you like. That I’m bad, that I can’t play, that I can’t throw, all that stuff, no problem, everything is cool,”Rose continues.”I don’t mind. but I don’t need your fucking confirmation.”
Voices that Rose no longer has the class for the NBA, the Point Guard thinks it’s a joke.”I can’t take that seriously. A lot of people don’t like me. For personal reasons, envy or something like that,”says Rose.”I laugh about it. I don’t have to waste my energy and defend myself in front of such people.”
In the current season, Rose played 16 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The former MVP put up 9.8 points, 1.6 assists and 1.8 rebounds in an average of 19 minutes per game. After his trade to Utah Jazz he was fired from the team. On Thursday he signed with the Timberwolves.
