Golf: Tiger Woods misses his first tournament win since 2013 by a narrow margin

Golf superstar Tiger Woods missed his first tournament win since August 2013 by a whisper. At the US tournament in Palm Harbor/Florida, the American only landed one shot behind winner Paul Casey (England) in shared second place.

On Sunday’s fourth round, Woods played a 70 on the Par-71 circuit after two birdies and a Bogey, scoring 275 total strokes. For the former world number one, it was only the fourth start on the US tour since his comeback after a long injury break.

Casey secured the win at the $6.5 million event with a strong final round of 65 and celebrated his second triumph on the PGA tour.

On Saturday, the 42-year-old Woods showed his best lap of the tournament with a 67:”I’ve put myself in a good position to have fun on Sunday,”said the 14-time Major Winner, who will be celebrating his 79th birthday in 2013 in Akron, Ohio. Toursieg before the final round.
