DEL: Head coach Doug Shedden extends training in Ingolstadt

The ERC Ingolstadt extended the contract with head coach Doug Shedden for one year until the end of the 2018/19 season before the play-off quarter-finals in the DEL. This was announced by the Upper Bavaria on Monday evening.

Canadian Shedden, 56 years old, had taken over from the dismissed Tommy Samuelsson at the end of December and led the championship from eleventh to fourth place in 2014. In the play-offs, the Ingolstadt team will meet Adler Mannheim in the series in “best of seven” mode from Wednesday.

“The work Doug has been doing since Christmas speaks for itself,”said ERC Sports Director Larry Mitchell,”now we have clarified this key position and can concentrate fully on the play-offs”.
