Golf: World Ranking: Tiger Woods makes up 239 places after second place in US tournament

Golf superstar Tiger Woods has made up 239 positions in the world rankings with his second place finish at the US tournament in Palm Harbor. The 42-year-old will be in 149th place this week, compared to 388th last week.

The year 2017 had ended the 14-times Major winner as number 656. With four starts since his comeback after a long injury break, Woods has already climbed 507 places.

Woods had missed his first tournament win since August 2013 on the weekend by an extremely slim margin. At the tournament in Florida, he landed a shot behind winner Paul Casey (England) in shared second place.
