NBA: Hawks: Season out for Bazemore injured at knee

The Atlanta Hawks have to do without Shooting Guard Kent Bazemore for the rest of the season. He got a bone bruise in his right knee.

Bazemore had landed unhappily on the ground during Sunday’s match against the Bulls and then limped off the court into the Locker Room. Now the franchise announced that an MRI examination revealed the injury.

Bazemore is already in his fourth season with the Hawks and tops Career-Highs in points (12.9) and Assists (3.5). His contract – with a player option last year – runs until 2020.

To top it all off, Bazemore’s backup Jaylen Morris also injured himself in the same game, who will be out of action for two to four weeks with a sprained ankle. Dennis Schröder’s team is currently in last place at the Eastern Conference with a record of 20 victories and 47 defeats.
