NBA: Will Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics be out for the rest of the season?

In the night from Sunday to Monday, the Boston Celtics suffered an even more bland defeat against the Indiana Pacers. All-star Kyrie Irving, who had to watch a game last week, did not return in the second half due to an inflammation on his left knee.

For the rest of the regular season, Irving is looking at all the possibilities – including missing out on several games,”I think it would be best to rest. Instead of hoping every day that things will get better within a few days, I’ll take the time I need,”Irving told ESPN.

His coach, Brad Stevens, also feels the same way:”If he’s not at 100 percent, he’s going to stay outside, which is why he hasn’t played against Indiana,” but Stevens doesn’t have more precise information about the type of injury,”he was treated in the halftime, but we don’t really know anything more than that he has contracted an inflammation of the knee,”Stevens explains.

Already in the finals in 2015 Irving injured his knee and had to undergo surgery,”I hope I don’t need to be operated on again. I’ve seen that before. We have to be smart so that I don’t miss out for a long time,”says Irving.
