Olympia 2018: U. S. President Donald Trump: Games in South Korea without him a “total failure”.

US President Donald Trump attributed the apparent global political success of the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang to himself. South Korean President Moon Jae In praised his merits for the success of the games and the rapprochement between South and North Korea, Trump claimed at an event in Pennsylvania.

“I tell you, we did a great job,”the 71-year-old emphasized. Without him, Olympia would have become a “total failure”, added Trump.

The US President also boasted of having reduced the nuclear threat on the Korean peninsula before the Games. He explained:”It’s a bit difficult to sell tickets when you’re thinking of a nuclear threat. But when North Korea called and said they wanted to be at the Olympics, everyone said, let’s buy tickets.”

North Korea’s participation was “great”, said Trump, who wants to meet with ruler Kim Jong Un in May for talks. South and North Korea entered the Olympic Games together at the opening ceremony in February and formed a joint women’s ice hockey team.
