Comeback?

For the first time in 20 years, San Antonio Spurs is threatened with missing the playoffs. This week, however, Kawhi Leonard could return. Coach Gregg Popovich commented on this after losing to the Houston Rockets.

“I’ll see him tomorrow,”Popovich said after his team took the third consecutive defeat (93:109), falling back to 10th place in the Western Conference,”We’ll see how he feels and how ready he is, and how ready I think he is. And then we’ll see.”

According to several reports, the Spurs are supposed to aim for a return of their best player next Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans, should there be no setback in the meantime. However, Popovich had a lot of mockery for that.

“Good for them,”Pop said about the reporters.”I’m glad you’re reporting. I don’t know what they reported. I don’t hear that. I don’t care about reports.”

Leonard himself, however, had said last week that he wanted to return “soon”. The two-time defensive player of the year has only played 9 games so far this season. Since the 13th. On January 1, it permanently fails with a complicated quadriceps injury.
