Golf: After wrist injury: Kaymer targets start at Masters

Germany’s top golfer Martin Kaymer (Mettmann) is looking forward to his participation at the Masters in Augusta/Georgia (5. till 8. April). The week before, he wanted to make his comeback at the US tour tournament in Houston. This was announced by the two-time Major Winner on Wednesday in a video message on his Facebook page.

“My wrist is much better. The attraction is clear, it feels very good,”said the 33-year-old:”I thought to myself, in the week before the world’s toughest tournament, it would be quite good to maybe make a few putts again. So I wanted to take Houston as preparation and hopefully be back in the Masters again.”

The former world number one had given up at the end of February at the tournament in Palm Beach Gardens/Florida after the first round because of wrist problems.
