With Fastlane at the back and Wrestlemania in front of the door, Smackdown is more and more concerned with the upcoming PPV matches. At the end of the show, the YEP-movement from Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens takes brutal action.
In Fastlane, Styles achieved the unbelievable and defended his title against several opponents. So he started the smackdown show in Indianapolis with an announcement for Wrestlemania: The Phenomenal One is looking forward to the duel with Shinsuke Nakamura.
Without further ado, the King of Strong Style came to the ring and stressed that he would also look forward to the fight. However, he came to WWE to become WWE Champion, Styles should be aware of that. The stars of Rusev and Aiden English were interrupted.
In the following match English intervened in the match, whereupon Styles won by DQ. When Rusev and English beat up the overdone styles, Nakamura intervened and drove the duo out of the ring.
At Fastlane, the Bludgeon Brothers had attacked The New Day as well as the Usos. Accordingly, a final alliance of Jimmy Uso and Big E was formed, who were the only fighters in their team to remain competitive after the attacks.
However, Harper and Rowan did not have any mercy and successfully resisted a stool attack. With a powerbomb against Jimmy they secured the victory and underlined their ambitions.
Winning the US title at Fastlane has made Orton interesting for its competitors. The Viper celebrated at Smackdown, but Roode demanded a rematch. Suddenly Mahal joined in and announced that he would defeat Roode on the spot.
With Orton at the commentator’s desk, Mahal defeated Roode by Khallas. It came, however, as it had to come to pass and Orton slipped into the ring to give the Indian an RKO outta nowhere.
At Fastlane, McMahon cost Zayn and Owens the chance to win the WWE title. He has not only reunited the duo, but also launched a violent attack on Smackdown.
After some minor fights, Owens and Zayn joined forces after McMahon announced that both would be in the ring at Wrestlemania.
They attacked Shane-O-Mac with a Helluva Kick and a pop-up power bomb. But that’s not enough. Despite the hurried judges, the YEP team continues its attacks with a chair and dragged McMahon into the backstage area. Finally, the commissioner was taken away with a stretcher.
