NFL: Joe McKnight murderer sentenced to 30 years in prison

A court in New Orleans, Louisiana, sentenced Ronald Gasser to 30 years in prison for the murder of former NFL football pro Joe McKnight. The 56-year-old had already been found guilty of manslaughter in January.

In December 2016, Gasser shot and killed the then 28-year-old former running back of the NFL clubs New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs when he approached the window of Gasser’s car at a highway exit in New Orleans after a chase by them.
