NFL: Minnesota Vikings: Trevor Siemian arrives via Trade

The Minnesota Vikings have secured a backup quarterback. On Wednesday, the franchise probably finalized the trade for Trevor Siemian with Denver Broncos.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Denver sends Siemian and a 2018 pick to Minnesota. In return, the Vikings give a 2019 pick.

Siemian will most likely take over the backup role behind Kirk Cousins. Cousins is in intensive talks with the Minneapolis franchise and the announcement of the first fully guaranteed contract seems to be imminent.

For the Broncos, Siemian has started 24 games in the last two years. The 26-year-old threw 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions at a completion percentage of 59.3 percent.
