Alpine Skiing: Ortlieb takes overall European Cup victory

Nina Ortlieb from Vorarlberg is the overall winner of the European Cup.

The 21-year-old finished eleventh in the giant slalom on Friday in Soldeu (Andorra) and can no longer be caught up in the last race on Saturday. Her closer compatriot Johannes Strolz had already secured the overall ranking in the men’s singles on Thursday.

Christoph Krenn finished the men’s Super-G on Friday in tenth place. The 23-year-old from Lower Austria won the discipline classification. Daniel Hemetsberger was the best Austrian sixth.
