NBA: Thomas: “I am not a Sixth Man”

Isaiah Thomas does not see herself in the role of the sixth man from the bank – neither currently with the Lakers, nor in the future. Besides, he doesn’t think he’s at his highest level yet.

“I’m not a sixth man,” Thomas told USA Today in an interview,”and I won’t be one in the future. And I’ll let everyone know as clearly as I can. “I’m an all-star twice and I’ve done things in this league that not many people have done.”

However, he had been”talked into” the current situation at the Lakers. That’s why he can’t control things. He also made it clear that his statements were not intended to question head coach Luke Walton or the Lakers themselves. In 14 games for Tinseltown, Thomas came 13 times from the bank with 16.7 points and 5.5 assists.

“I’m here to help. I will behave professionally,” Thomas continued,”and I am here to improve further. I can still raise my game to levels I haven’t reached yet.
