NBA: After criticism of referee: Clippers coach is punished

Doc Rivers, the Los Angeles Clippers coach, is fined by the NBA after complaining about the referees following the match against the Houston Rockets.

Kiki VandeWeghe, Executive Vice President, announced that Rivers will be fined over $15,000 for his public statements.

The Clippers coach called the referee’s performance after the match against the Rockets a “complete joke”. Especially the – in River’s eyes – unjust foul whistles got the coach upset.

The Clippers suffered their second consecutive defeat against Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday night and are currently in tenth place at the Western Conference.
