NBA: End of career?

Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks is currently playing his 20. season in the NBA. In an interview with Bild am Sonntag, however, he gives the fans hope for another season.

“It is almost certain that I will continue when the last games match”, Nowitzki reported: “If my body participates, I want to be back next year.”

Nowitzki spoke to several former athletes who all gave him the same advice:”They all say:’Do it as long as you can. “You’ll never have a time like this.’ So I expect to be there next year.”

It’s frustrating when your head sees things and you think:’It’s ridiculous how he’s defending me right now’, and you still can’t pass because your body just doesn’t react like that,” Nowitzki said.

Nowitzki currently plays 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists for the Mavericks. More importantly, he has only missed one game this season. His Mavs are currently ranked 13th in the Western Conference and lost to the Brooklyn Nets tonight.
