NBA: MVP?

Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans has played his way into the MVP discussions in recent weeks with strong performances. His own coach, Alvin Gentry, however, has another favourite: James Harden.

“In my eyes, Harden is the MVP. It’s not even close. It’s incredible,” Gentry tells the Houston Chronicle:”What Davis has achieved this season, however, cannot be put into words.

We simply don’t have as many victories as the Rockets,” said Gentry, who also called DeMar DeRozan of the Toronto Raptors possible MVP.

Harden currently plays 30.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 8.7 assists. His Rockets lead the Western Conference with a record of 55-14.
