US-Sport: March Madness: Duke and Villanova continue – next upset of Loyola Chicago

The Duke Blue Devils and Villanova Wildcats live up to their role as favourites and move easily into Sweet 16. The top prospects of both teams showed strong performances. Kentucky also takes an unchallenged victory, while Loyola Chicago celebrates the next upset.

Topscorer: Mikal Bridges (23) – Colin Sexton (17)

In contrast to some of the title aspirants, the Villanova Wildcats once again lived up to their role as favourites. Led by top prospect Mikal Bridges, who sank five triples on his way to 23 points (22 of them at half-time two), the East Region’s number one seed left nothing to be desired against Alabama. Shortly after the break tea Villanova started an 18:1 run, which packed the victory in dry cloths. From Alabama’s point of view, the good performance of the probable lottery pick Collin Sexton (17 points, 7/14 FG) did not help much.

Topscorer: Keenan Evans (22) – Jalen Hudson (23)
