Curling: German curlers lose third World Cup match

The German curlers won their third defeat in their third game at the World Cup in North Bay, Canada. The team around Skip Daniela Jentsch (Füssen) lost to host and defending champion Canada 1:8. The selection of the German Curling Association (DCV) kept up at the beginning, but then the fifth final went to Canada 4-0. After another 2-0 in the sixth final, the game was decided.

The German team, which did not qualify for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, finished eighth in terms of sports promotion. In the new tournament mode, 13 nations will compete, one more than before.

Six teams move into the playoffs (24th/25th place). March). After the failed start to the World Cup, Germany is one of three nations without a victory, alongside Scotland and Denmark.
