MLB: New York Mets: Left-handed Jason Vargas breaks his right hand

Left-handed Jason Vargas of the New York Mets has contracted a fracture on his right hand. He therefore visited a hand specialist for a more precise diagnosis.

Vargas got the broken hook leg on his right hand on Saturday when he tried to catch a line drive in a Minor League game. An X-ray came back negative, but a computer tomography showed a fracture.

How long Vargas will fail, however, has not yet been determined. Manager Mickey Callaway, however, was optimistic that Vargas would not miss the start of the regular season despite this injury. However, more details were only known after a consultation with a hand specialist on Sunday. However, no findings are yet available.

The 35-year-old recently signed a two-year contract worth 16 million dollars with the Mets. Last year, the Lefty 18-11 was in the service of the Kansas City Royals.
