NBA: Butler from the Wolves: “Knew my knee was sore”

Jimmy Butler has been missing the Minnesota Timberwolves for several weeks. Now he spoke about his possible return and suspicions before the injury.

“I can’t tell you the exact date, but I want to come back and help,” Butler told the assembled press. His Timberwolves are currently in eighth place at the Western Conference.

“I’ve got a little time before the playoffs and I know our boys will keep us in the race. When I get back, we’ll see what else we have in the tank,” said Butler, who also talked about early signs of his injury.

“I can’t say I knew it would happen. But I knew my knee was sore. Everyone has something to say about it, but I know my body best,” said Butler, who was on the field for 37.1 minutes per game.
