The sixth matchday has brought the decision in all quarter-final duels of the Erste Bank Ice Hockey League. The Vienna Capitals, Red Bull Salzburg, Black Wings Linz and HCB Südtirol made it to the semi-finals on Tuesday with their fourth victories each.
The Capitals defeated Innsbruck 5-3 away, the defending champion will now face Bolzano in the semi-final on Sunday as in the pre-season, which sent runners-up KAC into the early holiday with a 2-0 home win. Salzburg celebrated a convincing 6-2 success in Dornbirn. The seven-time champion now has to deal with Linz, the Black Wings fixed their progress with a hard-fought 5:4 in Zagreb.
