NBA: Knee problems continue – Irving visits another doctor

Kyrie Irving still has knee problems. According to Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens, the Point Guard will seek a second opinion. It is likely that Uncle Drew will not accompany the team on their next away trip over four games.

This was announced to reporters by coach Brad Stevens before the match against Oklahoma City Thunder. Irving was missing the last three games to save his knee, but according to some reports this did not improve. According to Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN), there is no structural damage in the knee – protection should help.

Irving’s left knee has been causing problems since Game 1 of the 2015 finals, when the Cleveland Cavaliers player of the time contracted a fracture in his kneecap. At that time he was out for a long time and missed the first two months of the following season. Celtics-GM Danny Ainge already indicated last week that the playmaker will have to be operated again in the near future.

Stevens also told ESPN once again that his knee had been hurting a little bit longer: “He had some problems, but worked hard to make it through the season. “His last days were also good, which gives me courage for the tasks ahead.”

In his first season as part of the Boston Celtics, Irving has played 60 out of 70 games. The Guard placed 24.4 points and 5.1 assists with a throwing rate of 49.1 percent (Career High).
