NBA: College star Bamba signs up for the draft

After Trae Young, Mohamed Bamba will now also register for the NBA Draft 2018. This was confirmed by the Freshman in a short personal statement.

“After an incredibly rewarding year at the University of Texas, I won’t return to school, I’ll enroll in the NBA draft,” Bamba was quoted.

Bamba is considered a potential top 5 pick. The Big Man played 12.9 points, 10.5 rebounds and an impressive 3.7 blocks in 30 games in his only season for the Longhorns.

Towards the end of the season, however, the New York native was restricted by a toe injury to his left foot. Texas lost to Nevada in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, but Bamba still scored a good 13 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.

After Trae Young of the Oklahoma Sooners, Bamba is the second top pick Freshman to confirm that his first college season will remain the only one after leaving the Tournament.
